The organic extra virgin olive oil Giacomì produced by Frantoi Covato is obtained from a careful selection of “Tonda Iblea” olives, typical of teastern Sicily territory. The organic extra virgin olive oil, very different from olive oil or all its derivatives, is the result of the only cold mechanical extraction of the olives without the addition of solvents and water. It is perfect for every preparation: soft and fragrant it is ideal on meat, fish, legume soups and salads.

Description

The organic extra virgin olive oil Giacomì produced by Frantoi Covato is obtained from a careful selection of “Tonda Iblea” olives, typical of teastern Sicily territory. The organic extra virgin olive oil, very different from olive oil or all its derivatives, is the result of the only cold mechanical extraction of the olives without the addition of solvents and water. It is perfect for every preparation: soft and fragrant it is ideal on meat, fish, legume soups and salads.

Altitude – 350-600 mt. a.s.l.
Olive groves – Secular olive groves, in hilly territory facing South

Extraction method – Continuous two stage cold cycle
Appearance – Green, veiled for natural decantation
Bouquet – Fresh and fruity, ranging from medium to intense with interesting notes of green tomato and fresh herbs.
Flavour/Aroma – Full-bodied with a balanced bitter and spicy pier. Presence of herbaceous notes of green tomato typical of the Iblea round.

The olives are processed in the "Frantoi Covato" within 6 hours of harvest. All processing operations are scrupulously carried out with cold extraction.

The organic extra virgin olive oil must be protected from light because it easily alters its colour and taste. For this reason it should be stored in opaque containers and dark, cool places, away from aromatic contamination.

The best organic extra virgin olive oil is the one produced with olives harvested at the beginning of maturation because they are rich in antioxidant properties. Do you know that to produce 1 kg of oil you need about 5 kg of olives?

The organic extra virgin olive oil keeps you young because it slows down brain aging, included in many cosmetic formulas for its properties. We can therefore find it in: moisturizing creams for hands, face and body, bath and massage oils, lip balms and body cleansing products.
